Decided to drive to downtown for my greenbelt class today. in the morning i by pass 3 ERP gates costing me total of $6.50... i parked at NLB which costs $2.10 per hour.. and the total costs ( 8.30 to 5.30 ) is $18.90. Return trip back to office adds another 0.50 for ERP gate outside Park Mall.
If i ever worked in town, i think i will sell my car away...

Hot Hot Taipei...
Weather here is super hot.. news reported a high of 37 degrees!!!
every aafternoon , we need to leave office to go to customer office . Saw this girl doing testing under the hot sun...
caught someone sleeping in the office. Guess who...
One guy smoking a $10 SGD per pack Cigarette.. one smoking a $1 per packet Cigarette . Both same Brand..
and my favourite food in Taipei is still 鼎泰丰. I like the 猪扒饭。 Weelead likes 元盅鸡汤.
诚品书店 is by far one of the best book shops i have been to. The only thing is most of the books are in Chinese , but that is understandable since this is based in Taipei. But the variety of books, the magazines and the layout always makes me wanting to go there every time during lunch from a break off my work in the office ( Office is on the 8th floor , the book store is from 2nd to 5th )

I think i am at one of my career lowest in 8 years. Feeling unengaged , projects always having problems, workload never seem to subside and things never get better. The only reason probably i am still staying is because
1. I have a good boss
2. I like the company
3. I still like my work..

Durian Dinner + The Dark Knight
There is a durian dinner buffet at Carlton hotel. Knowing my aunt loves durian more than anything else, we brought both of them them. Dinner costs $45+++ per person and UOB cardmembers has 15% discount. Dinner starts @ 6.30pm.
Food Spread ~ 7/10. Standard items available. The highlights should be the deserts where are a lot of varieties of durian deserts available. There is durian pudding, durian puff, durian mousse cake, durian chocolate, durian green bean ( dont try this.. ) and RAW durians.
Ambience ~6/10 , being near the hotel lobby, nothing special .
Price ~ Abit too high. if it is around ~35, i think will be more worth a deal
Overall ~ Can go for special occasions, anyway the dinner will end in July. In August, they have "Mushroom Dinner Buffet"
after dinner program is "The Dark Knight". I like the show. 2.5 hours. Heath Ledger acts as Joker and i think he is superb. In Fact, i think all the villians are better acting than Batman itself. Overall still a worthy movie to watch ( 2.5 hours though! ) . Can catch the quicktime trailer at

Journey on the MRT Day 2
Woke up late today. The motoQ went flat and the alarm did not go off. by the time i realise, it s already 8.45am. My class is supposed to start at 9am!
Quickly rush off to the train station and go to work. Surprisingly , i am not the bit nervous for being late. I reach the class at 9.30pm and class went on as usual except that half my attention is on my inbox. Today class focus on metrics, statistical analysis and presentation. most of the contents relates back to our daily job. I like this course, it prepares me for my GB ( Green Belt ) . Tomorrow there is exam, but we get to go off at 4pm , according to the instructor.
Trying to arrange mj session tomorrow, been quite some time, hands already start to itch...

on a 3 day green belt course at midlink plaza. with the rising petrol prices and erp costs, i deciided to take the public transport. it is kind of exciting since the last time i commute on the public transport is probable 3 years back when i changed my car ....
1. i got lucky to be able even to squeeze into the train. and i am only on the 2nd station to board on!
2. i dont have to get newspapers, because everyone on the train is reading and all i need to do is to turn my head left or right...
3. i need to change 3 trains to reach bugis... sengkang -> dohby gaut - > city hall -> bugis.
Class went off at 5.30pm sharp. Go to SuperCut Orchard for a haircut , and met QB at dinner at PS before taking MRT back.

Adventure of the 24" Mac Monster Part 1
Finally got my new iMac today at Cineleisure Club21. I decided to go for the 24". 要就不买，要买就买最大的.
The looks is impressive. Looks Sexy, looks cool. Nothing can beat it. Remove all my wires , keyboard, 17"LCD screen, 4.1 speaker to make way for this 24" monster. Looks totally cool on my study desk.
Next thing is to figure out how to use it. Gab told me this is designed for left handers.. haha.. cos the minimize, close and maximize is all on the left side, as oppose to PC version on the right side. I think i will going to take some time to figure out everything on Mac. Time to get magazines! Time to subscribe to RSS feeds!

尽tour guide 的责任
Brought Emily around singapore after work on Friday night yesterday. Went to Chinatown first for dinner at Maxwell. Went to eat 和记粥。跟着去味香园吃糖水。 在牛车水卖的美食比较有道地的味道. We saw Zekai ( Weelead ) friend there too. What a coincidence.
介绍“爱美丽” 买林志源的肉干, i also bought 2 boxes. 1 for Qisda Team , 1 back home to eat. 谁知道QB也买了一包. Haha...
Weelead brough his Sony W150 Camera along. That camera is cool! it can take very nice pictures in the evenings.. no flash and can see everything very clear... ( wait till i get the pictures i will upload some here and facebook
Bringing overseas friends to see our Night Spots is a must. There is no other place than Clarke Quay! We went into Lunar, because weelead strongly recommend and there is Live Singing . MandoPop. ( And Amex Plat have free entry + 2 guests and 1 for 1 whole night long )

Working on a Sunday Afternoon
Haizhou went back to China for his vacation. Everyone in the team is so busy, so bo bian, 我这个老板 got to cover the work lor.
We need to ship Project SLPR out this week, still got so many issues to fix... sighz.
QB went to gym with Cat, i didnt go cos so many things to do!
Watched 师奶股神。 when i started to watch initially , it wasnt really very good , but the story starts to kick in and is getting better and better.
Now i am thinking if i should start to invest again....

Revisiting 21 years of friendship
Ernie is moving house. We went over to his condo at Regent Grove and revisit the things we did when we were young. all of us go crazy, although no full attendance, but still full of fun. Joshua , Sean and Jacko didnt join us. A pity so else we can have a 全家福.
Ate pizza. I thought it was Pizza hut. Only to find out it is canadian pizza. not exactly the best food .. but for filling stomach still alright.
Qibin didnt go cos she L.S... more pictures on Facebook :) But they are "private" due to the degree of sickness when they are taken.
We should take more pictures everytime we meet. Because these will become fond memories when we grow older

Went Chomp Chomp today with emily. She say singapore food is #1 ! There is a new yogurt shop along the road with 2 chio bu inside selling yogurt and their smiles. Check it out :)
